How Can You Volunteer PDF Print E-mail

Listed below are some of the volunteer opportunities open to you. Although the volunteer time needed for the following activities varies from month to month, Trevor's relies on the support of its volunteers year-round.  Regardless of what you choose to do, you are making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

  1. CHILD CARE - Providing care for the children of Trevor's Place enables their parent(s) to search for and maintain permanent employment.
  2. OCCASIONAL HANDYMAN - Volunteer duties include performing carpentry, plumbing and other related tasks that may arise at the shelters.
  3. OCCASIONAL CLEANING/CUSTODIAL PROJECTS - Volunteers are sometimes needed to help clean and maintain Trevor’s Place.
  4. FUND RAISING EVENTS - Volunteers are sometimes needed to help organize and prepare various fund raising events through out the year.
  5. AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM – Volunteers are needed to provide homework assistance to school-age children participating in Trevor’s after school program, as well as carry out recreational and educational activities.
  6. OTHER - There are many "people" needs that are occurring constantly that we can't always pinpoint. If you are not sure where you would fit in, simply give us a brief explanation of how you think you could help.
