Three overarching programs meet the needs of the trio of distinct groups of residents at Trevor’s Place.
Project SUCCESS is a comprehensive residential program to help homeless women – one of the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach segments of our population – achieve stability and self-sufficiency. Project SUCCESS is designed to assist 45 homeless women (120 annually) develop personally, improve health, overcome addiction, raise educational levels, increase employability and move to independent living. Project SUCCESS helps homeless women spell out in their lives what our seven-letter acronym stands for:
DISCOVER is a comprehensive project-based learning, year-round, licensed out-of-school program for 30 (50 annually) homeless children in grades K-6 which aims to flesh out in elementary students’ lives this rubric: Developing Interdisciplinary Student-Centered Outcomes Valuing Everyday Relevance.
Bright Spaces is a program that helps homeless youngsters grow and develop by giving them a space to play and learn during their stay at Trevor’s Place. Infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers are provided a bright, safe and stimulating playroom filled with age appropriate developmental play areas. Parents are also given the opportunity to bond with their children away from everyday demands.
